As Anzac Day is near, originally I was going to do a post on J J’s song Someday (會有那麽一天), because the song is unusual in that it is about grandparents and World War 2. However the official music video has an annoying crackling sound all through, I assume to depict the sound of vinyl record in the 1940s? So I looked for his live performances of this song, but there is virtually none, apart from this performances at the Singapore 2016 Star Awards!
However, there are quite a few covers of this song online by amateur performers, including this performance by a contestant on season 1, episode 2 of Sound of My Dream (夢想的聲音). It is also very interesting as J J was there as a mentor, and hilarious to see all the other mentors’ reaction to the song…
