Shine ชาย is an 8-episode Thai LGBTQ+ series which will premiere on August 2, 2025. The production studio of the series, Be On Cloud, has specifically stated that this is their first LGBTQ+ series, and NOT a BL series.

Thailand, 1969 – A tale of gay people in the context of accepting new cultures and the turning point of humanity’s mind like ‘the first man on the moon’ which in one sense gave people hope that things that were once thought impossible became possible.
Shine takes viewers back to the late 1960s, a time when many important events occurred in Thailand. It was an era filled with hope for a group of idealistic people searching for themselves in terms of identity, career, and gender – their struggle for the freedom of thought, and the fight for ideology, love, and hope.
The story centres around the search for identity between Trin (Apo Nattawin), a promising young economist who believes in principles and righteousness, and Thanwa (Mile Phakphum), a free-spirited hippie. When they meet “Moira” Monthira (Nok Sinjai), a stylish widow who lives beyond freedom, their lives change in ways no one could have predicted.
