Higher 雙刃 is a 23-episode Chinese sci-fi short form (about 12 minutes per episode) drama series which premiered on August 11, 2025. This is the second Chinese short form sci-fi series featuring two male leads that started airing within the last couple of weeks, the other one is Dangerous Relationship 危城關係. Higher 雙刃 premiered on Tencent Video/WeTV, but also now available on DramaBox.
Jiang Zhen, an instructor at the industry’s top security company “Kuangfeng Training Camp”, goes undercover at Zijing Group to investigate the death of his sister Xiaotong in a self-driving car accident. During the mission, he meets his former partner and current enemy Bai Fan from Kuangfeng Training Camp again. The two went from testing each other to supporting each other. They partnered again and started the “Double Edge Plan” where they not only found out the truth of the car accident, but also found evidence of Zijing Group’s use of brain-computer interface technology to do evil. Together with Nong Qianya, the eldest daughter of Zijing Group who was also persecuted by the Nong family, they joined forces to dismantle the conspiracy of Nong Cangqin, the instigator of all this and chairman of Zijing Group.
