Twin Flames 裂焰 (Lie Yan) is a 50-episode Chinese short series (of about 3-4 minutes each episode, NOT vertical series) that premiered on December 22, 2025. Previously the Chinese title was called 雙生焰 but it was changed to the current title just days before premiering. It was also rumoured very early on during the announcement stage that this might be a BL series because one of the leads is Thai actor James Supamongkon เจมส์ ศุภมงคล วงศ์วิสุทธ์ 程浩顏, but since then it has been confirmed it is just a series with double-male lead actors which is also able to be aired in China.
During the Republican era, long-lost brothers Shen Zhao 沈昭 (a warlord) and Lin Yan 林硯 (Blood Lotus 血蓮花, an assassin manipulated by the Qing Gang 箐幫) clashed multiple times while investigating the truth behind the massacre of the Shen family. After learning the truth, Lin Yan betrayed the Qing Gang. In the end, the two brothers joined forces to thwart the Qing Gang’s conspiracy and fought side by side against the forces of evil in the chaotic world.
