Finally a gay drama from Thailand featuring a middle-aged couple in their 50s… I don’t think this can be classed as a BL drama since it tackles more realistic gay relationship as opposed to fantasy storylines in BL dramas, to me BL dramas are a sub-genre under the LGBTQ+ genre. Having said that, I will still tag this post under BL as well as LGBTQ+, just to confuse you, LOL… No, seriously this is in case readers who consider all Asian gay dramas as BL, they can still find this post under the BL tag…

I’m Kishi Knight, Your Private Tutor 家庭教師の岸騎士です。 is a 10-episode Japanese series which premiered on January 5, 2026 in Japan. It is adapted from the manga of the same name by Okujima Hiromasa 奥嶋ひろまさ. From what I can gather, this series is not a proper BL drama, rather it is referred to as a BL-flavour drama which I assume it suggests that BL plotlines maybe implied, or not, and totally left to your own imagination… I am just guessing here since I am not familiar with the manga it is based on, LOL…

Random Ramblings on BL Dramas – Waterboy
Fans of vertical BL drama Poolboy from earlier this year will be pleased to see that the two lead actors from that series are reunited for another new vertical western BL drama! The 70-episode Waterboy has quite a similar BL story that dropped on December 27, 2025 on ReelShort. Once again, it is another one of the nerdy boy being forced to wear ridiculous skimpy “uniform” in order to serve as a “slave” to the jock of the school… It stars Sky Kawai as Donovan Miller and Declan Clifford as Kaden Russell, and you will recognize another familiar face, Sean McHugh, who also played the dad character in both series of My Secret Agent Husband…
