Marry My Dead Body 關於我和鬼變成家人的那件事 is an upcoming Taiwanese supernatural black comedy movie that will have its general theatre release next year on February 10, 2023 in Taiwan. However it just has its premiere as the closing film during the 2022 Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival 金馬國際影展 last month on November 17, 2022. It has a sort of LGBTQ+ theme as it is all about the rare Chinese tradition of a spirit marriage 冥婚, in the case of this movie between a man and a male ghost. The theme song has just been released and is sung by Jolin Tsai 蔡依林 and she co-composed the music for the song… And yes the official English title of the song is called “Untitled” although the Chinese title 親愛的對象 can be translated roughly as “My Dear Other-Half” because there’s no equivalence for 對象 in English that I can think of… it means a person of target for or to do something or in relationship term a person that could become a future boyfriend/girlfriend or husband/wife… From what I’ve read, the MV is a prequel to the movie depicting the ghost when he was alive…

S.C.I. Mystery Series ＳＣＩ謎案集 are a series of crime-investigation BL webnovels written by Er Ya 耳雅. This series of novels is a modern adaptation of the classic 1879 Chinese martial arts novel, The Three Heroes and Five Gallants 三俠五義, based on the oral performances by storyteller Shí Yùkūn 石玉崑. The first chapter in the first volume of the webnovels was first published online way back in 2008 and it is still an on-going novel currently up to the sixth volume. The first 5 crime cases in the novels were adapted into a 24-episode bromance TV series in 2018 and there were rumours of a second season of the TV series ever since but with the BL-related restrictions happening in the Chinese entertainment industry in the past couple of years, it seems those rumours will remain rumours after all! There was also a 12-episode online audio drama made in 2019 based on the novels.

Young Royals Season 2 premiered on November 1, 2022. Again with just 6 episodes so it is quite easy to binge watched. I already watched the whole season last week and thankfully the end is not as much of a cliff hanger as the end of season 1 so the wait for season 3 is not as painful since it will probably be another year before we get to watch the next season… As with the first season, there are many songs used in the series but I will just embed 3 songs that are more significant here…
