While we are still hoping her last novel Miracle would be made into a TV series, Taiwanese author and screenwriter Lin Peiyu 林珮瑜 has released a new BL novel Unreciprocated Love 他們的通勤時間 which went on sale on White Valentine’s Day, March 14, 2022. The Chinese title actually translated as Their Commute Time. It is about a secret crush in the workplace, hence I think why the official English title is Unreciprocated Love. Seeing they chose White Valentine’s Day to release the book, I hope it suggests a happy ending!

A new song by the up-and-coming Taiwanese singer, Chen Linong 陳立農, with the music composed especially for him by JJ Lin 林俊傑. JJ also produced the song so you can hear that the song is very JJ-style. After a few listens, I’m liking the song more and more…

Season 14 of MasterChef Australia will be a season of Fans & Favourites consisting of 12 former favourite contestants from past seasons competing with 12 new home cooks. The new season will premiere on Monday, April 18, 2022 on Channel 10 at 7:30pm.

DNA Says Love You 基因決定我愛你 is a new Taiwanese BL series that will premiere on White Valentine’s Day, March 14, 2022. This new series is from the same producer who gave us the BL series a couple of years ago, Because of You 2020 2020因為愛你. They have announced 4 songs for the OST and so far only the opening theme song sung by the Taiwanese Youtubers/singers is available, I’ll add the other 3 songs when they are released.

On his wedding day to Mizuki, Ryosuke said to him, “I haven’t told my parents yet I’m marrying a man.”

Boku mo Aitsu mo Shinro desu 僕もアイツも新郎です。 (translated as He and I are Both Grooms) is a new 1-hour special Japanese BL comedy that will premiere at midnight of March 13, 2022, or more specifically the early hour of March 14, 2022 in Japan.

The Iron Four 我和我的鋼四壁 (Taiwanese Series OST)

The Iron Four 我和我的鋼四壁 is a new 40-episode Taiwanese series that will premiere tonight, February 28, 2022, in Taiwan. This is a proper bromance drama series about the lives of 4 friends who open a interior design studio together, not to be confused with the type of “bromance” series from China. Although this is not a BL series, you will recognise 2 familiar faces from the HIStory BL series, Wayne Song 宋偉恩 and Charles Tu 涂善存.

Three songs from the OST have just been released earlier today…

【OST】5 Thai BL Series Currently on Air, February 2022

With so many BL series going on at the moment, I’ve not been able to keep up with the pace and have neglected some series that went on air late last year and beginning of this year. It is also difficult to keep up with their soundtracks, so here are the OSTs from 5 Thai BL series that are currently on air which I must admit I have not watched any of them yet. However of the five series, it seems Not Me and Cutie Pie are the two series that are getting good reviews.

【OST】Korean BL Series, February 2022

Not only are there plenty of new Thai BL series appearing in the first few weeks of 2022, there are also a plethora of new Korean BL series premiering in the past couple of weeks or before the end of February. I can’t keep up and have given up trying to watch them for the moment as I have other better shows to watch currently. So I thought I would just keep a record of these new shows with their OSTs here so if I ran out of shows to watch in the future, I don’t have to try to remember the names of these shows or search for them. One series that premiered on February 11, 2022 is First Love Again 첫사랑만세번째 but I can’t seem to find any songs from that series for the moment, so I will add the OST here when and if it is available. Next week Oh! Boarding House 하숙집 오!번지 and Cherry Blossoms After Winter 겨울 지나 벚꽃 are set to premiere on February 22, 2022 and February 24, 2022 respectively and I will do the same here when their OSTs are released.

We’ve Tried 我們盡力了 – Phil Chang 張宇

This is a new release from Phil Chang 張宇, a Taiwanese singer-songwriter and a popular Mandopop artist in the 90s but is also known for as one half of the popular husband and wife songwriting team. They have collaborated many popular songs in the last 20 or so years and this song is another of their songs. However it is not a new song as I have heard and played the song many times before. It was first recorded in 2017 by South Korean singer, Hwang Chi-Yeul (황치열 or in Chinese 黃致列) for his first Mandarin album but now Phil has recorded the song himself.
