Saw this chocolate cake recipe a couple of days ago, and I’m thinking of trying out the recipe in the future, so I’m keeping the recipe and video here. As with a lot of recipes from commercial kitchens, we have to take it with a grain of salt as most would keep some important details to themselves, but in saying that I’m still interested in experimenting with this recipe. We can see from the video and the recipe attached, there are inconsistencies! However by watching the the video and reading the recipe attached, we should be able to fill in the gaps…

Ossan’s Love HK (Hong Kong Series OST) 港版《大叔的愛》電視劇主題曲
Dai Suk’s Love is the first BL series from Hong Kong, a remake of the Japanese one-off episode from 2016, and also a 7-episode series from 2018, Ossan’s Love 大叔的愛. The series premiered on June 28, 2021 with 15 episodes in total. According to reports, the first episode broke the record as the most watched episode ever on ViuTV streaming platform. I have yet to watch this remake series but reviewers have been quite positve as it is quite faithful to the original Japanese version, which I did enjoy watching. Call It What You Want 2 จะรักก็รักเหอะ2 (Thai Series OST)
OK, I must admit I gave up on watching season 1 of Call It What You Want 戀愛無名氏 after 3 episodes due to the plot being told so slowly it sent me to sleep, LOL… I know they have good intention of showing us what happens behind the scenes of the BL industry, but like many BL shows, the plots are usually simple yet they told it in such a way that it drags along without anything much happening for most of the time, just a lot of fan-service scenes. So you might be asking, why am I bothering with the upcoming Season 2 now? Well, it is because of the OST!

House of the Dark Shadows / Always เรือนร่มงิ้ว 孽宅 (Thai Series OST)
Hmm, this is a conundrum, not sure how to translate the name of this Thai drama… Anyway, the drama is เรือนร่มงิ้ว and basically everyone online just called it Reuan Rom Ngiw in English, which doesn’t make any sense for us international viewers. In Chinese the title has been translated as either 孽宅, meaning Evil House, or 同舟共基, meaning Gay Together in the Same Boat, LOL… Who thought up this translation! After some searches, I think the drama is based on a novel written by ภาคินัย, and the novel has an English name, Always, so I am using this as the English title of this drama here. If I got it totally wrong, please let me know!
Update July 3, 2021: Came across this news article in English which gave the English title for Reuan Rom Ngiw as House of the Dark Shadows, so I will add this name to the title.

Golden Blood รักมันมหาศาล (Thai Series OST)
Golden Blood is a new BL series from Thailand that premiered on June 23, 2021. This is a bodyguard/gangsters story which thankfully is moving away from the omnipresent Thai BL series set inside universities. The proper OST is not available yet, but they have released 2 songs sung by the two lead actors.

Hometown’s Embrace อ้อมกอดบ้านเกิด (Thai Series OST)
Stumbled onto this new 8-episode BL series from Thailand called Hometown’s Embrace. I have not heard of this series until it popped up as a YouTube recommendation. It looks like it is a web series, as I have not seen or heard any promotion for it? Episode 1 is now available to watch on YouTube, and it looks interesting with the story set in the countryside of Isan, northeast Thailand. Thus the setting has that same feeling of the rural areas of Thailand in 1000 Stars which is refreshing from all the university BL settings. I also like the theme song, so here it is…

Random Ramblings on BL Novels – Jiang Chao Ge and the Spirit Weapon 魂兵之戈
Jiang Chao Ge and the Spirit Weapon 魂兵之戈 is a fantasy, action adventure genre BL novel written in 2014 by Shui Qian Cheng 水千丞, who also wrote the 188 series of BL novels. It is also the third novel in this genre from this author I’ve read after Dragon Blood 龍血 (also called Foster Father 養父) written in 2012, and The Return of Cambrian Period 寒武再臨 written in 2013.
