Just a quick note about a new series from Jamie Oliver starting tonight at 7:30pm on Ten. In this 4-part series, Jamie & Jimmy’s Food Fight Club, Jamie and his best mate, Jimmy Doherty (from the TV series Jimmy’s Farm shown on SBS, or was it on ABC, a few years ago, and more recently Jimmy’s Forest on SBS ONE a few months ago), open a pop-up cafe, where they serve up – and big up – the best of British food.
Mates since childhood, Jamie Oliver and Jimmy Doherty pair up to open a pop-up cafe on Southend pier. They also take to the continent to pit the best of British food against Europe’s finest.
There’s some tasty cooking from Jamie, a bit of foodie science from Jimmy, and a lot of laughs with some special friends, including Gwyneth Paltrow, Gary Barlow, Alan Carr and Jonathan Ross.
And throughout the series, Jamie and Jimmy put their reputations on the line as they head off to the continent in their trusty Ford Capri to take on the best that Europe’s cuisines have to offer. Because good food is worth fighting for.
Oddly, Ten is showing episode 2 (Germany) first featuring Gwyneth Paltrow…
