Stumbled across this show on SBS ONE tonight, starting at 7:30pm. Although SBS has shown a number of The Hairy Bikers’ shows on and off over the years, they were mostly old series. This time they have finally managed to show a new series just a couple of months after it’s broadcast in the UK. Also interesting that they are showing this new series on a Friday night instead of on their established Thursday night of food shows.
The Hairy Bikers’ Asian Adventure is a new 6-part series from The Hairy Bikers, David Myers and Simon King. It follows the boys’ dream trip – a journey through Asia to discover the secrets of some of the world’s most inspiring cuisines. The boys travelled to Hong Kong, Japan, Thailand and Korea, sampling and preparing every kind of food they could lay their hands on – from great home cooking to sensational street snacks.
Tonight was the first episode in the series featuring Hong Kong. Really enjoyed it and looking forwards to the rest of the series in the next few weeks.
