A quick note about two new shows that are currently screening every Thursday night on SBS ONE, Thai Street Food with David Thompson at 6pm, and Made in Italy with Silvia Colloca at 8pm.
Somehow I completely missed David Thompson’s show until today. It is already up to Episode 8 today. I think a couple of reasons that I did not take note that it has been on a few weeks, one is that it airs at 6pm, and two, his book Thai Street Food has been out a few years. I remembered vaguely seeing the listing of the show on SBS a few weeks ago, and seeing it was at 6pm that I thought it must be repeats as SBS usually airs repeat shows at that time, and that I must have seen it before and so did not bother to record it. I caught the end of the episode today, saw the end credits and was surprised to notice that it is made this year! Well at least a few more episodes to go before it ends…
The other new show is Made in Italy which started tonight, and hosted by food blogger and actress Silvia Colloca. So two different cuisines to feast our eyes on through to the end of the year.
