Cheng Boyan pulled open the car door and threw the bag into the car. He then habitually walked around the car to take a look. He’d just turned round the front of the car and suddenly saw a hand beside the rear wheel of the car by the wall.
He was taken aback, and when he retreated subconsciously, he almost back into the car next to him.
“Who is there?” Cheng Boyan asked after he had calmed down.
The hand did not move, and no one answered him.
Cheng Boyan hesitated for two seconds and walked over.
As soon as he turned around to the back of the car, he was shocked.
A man sat leaning against the back of his car, head down, arms hanging to his side.
Then he could see the bright triangular fluorescent pattern on the sleeves of this man’s clothes and the messy mohican head.
“Xiang Xi?!” Cheng Boyan squatted down quickly, his voice a little out of tune.
Xiang Xi’s whole body was wet, and Cheng Boyan wondered if he’d been rolling around in mud.
What’s the matter with this kid! What happened? How did you happen to be here beside my car!
Cheng Boyan has fifty-six questions and fifty-six exclamation marks in his mind.
He was about to reach out and level Xiang Xi’s body to check first, but Xiang Xi’s head, which had been hanging low, raised lightly.
“Xiang Xi?” Cheng Boyan jumped over and knelt next to him, gently lifting his chin, “Can you talk? Where did it hurt?”
“Bro…” Xiang Xi grinned at him. He couldn’t see whether it was blood or mud that’d covered his face, “You’ve finally… got off work.”
“Don’t talk nonsense! Where did it hurt!” Cheng Boyan was speechless, listening to Xiang Xi sprouting out such a sentence in his half dead situation, why don’t you just ask me when to pick me up after getting off work, and then where to eat!
“I don’t know… everywhere… it hurts,” Xiang Xi frowned and said very laboriously, “Bro, help me.”
After speaking, he slowly closed his eyes again, seeming to lose consciousness.
Cheng Boyan felt a pain in his chest when Xiang Xi said the last words, so he carefully laid him flat on the ground, took out his mobile phone and dialed the emergency call number.
The above scene is from the webnovel, Out of Place Misfit 格格不入, and the scene included at the beginning of the song below… (Update February 5, 2021: BTW, this novel is now being translated into English as Misfit online and is still on-going at the moment.) I have just started reading this BL novel by Wuzhe 巫哲 and this song is the theme song from the radio play of the novel.
似光 Similar to Light
