It has been a busy couple of months for BL drama fans! There are so many BL series going on at the moment, from Thailand of course (at least 4 series airing at the moment that I know of), but also from South Korea with “Mr. Heart” and also from the Philippines with “My Day: The Series” and “Quaranthings: The Series”! This is another new BL series from Japan, The Reason Why He Fell in Love with Me 彼が僕に戀した理由(ワケ), which premiered on August 9, 2020, with only 4 episodes. This is the theme song sung by one of the lead actors.
The series is a comedy-drama, and one of the protagonists played the role like a cartoon character, so it was hard to get into the story in the beginning in episode 1, but the storyline is really sweet, and after a while I did manage to watch all 4 episodes in one go and enjoyed it, LOL. There is a BIG twist at the end of episode 4 after the closing credit, with “To be continued…”, so there is a second season in the future!
There are now English subtitles of the series online if you look for it, as only videos with Chinese subtitles were available until last week, so if you want to watch the series with English subtitles, be quick, or you know what will happen later, wink, wink…
