Haha, I completely missed this online concert by Jam last weekend! Only found out today that it went live stream on October 25, 2020… In the past couple of months, there are so many BL dramas being broadcast which I’m trying to follow, at last count – 6 dramas from Thailand (one is not BL), 4 from the Philippines, and one from Japan. Now plus a new singing show, Singing with Legends, which just started a couple of weeks ago, I am running out of time to follow all of these shows at the same time, LOL…

Beside You ข้างเธอ (“TharnType 2: 7 Years of Love” Theme Song) – Off Chainon อ๊อฟ ชัยนนท์ จันทร์เต็ม
The sequel to 2019’s Thai BL TV drama, TharnType: The Series, is called 7 Years of Love which will premiere on November 6, 2020. This is the OST song, Beside You, sung by Off Chainon, but only the audio version is available at the moment.

Singing with Legends (Our Song 2)《中國夢之聲～我們的歌》第二季
Season 2 of Chinese Idol – Our Song has been renamed as Singing with Legends and it started on October 11, 2020 with a total of 12 episodes and the finale episode to be aired on Boxing Day 2020. This season’s performers include Jeff Chang 張信哲, CoCo Lee 李玟, G.E.M. 鄧紫棋 and Zheng Yunlong 鄭雲龍. I will try to update some of my favourite performances here…

The second single off the newly released 14th album from JJ Lin. Actually the new album consists of 2 EPs, 《Drifter 倖存者 • Like You Do 如你》, only the first EP 《Drifter 倖存者》 has been released which consists of 6 songs, the second EP 《Like You Do 如你》 will be released in the near future.

Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard (TV Theme Songs) 日劇《如果30歲還是處男，似乎就能成為魔法師》主題曲片尾曲

This new Japanese BL TV series has one of the longest and oddest titles I’ve come across, LOL… Based on the web-manga series, Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?! (30歳まで童貞だと魔法使いになれるらしい) by Yū Toyota, the TV series started airing on October 8, 2020, and so far 2 episodes out of 5 (Update October 24, 2020: I think I was wrong about the series having 5 episodes only, may have 12 episodes in total?) have been broadcast. I have watched both episodes, and it is VERY GOOD! It is also extremely funny, but you need to pay attention to what are being spoken aloud and what are their inner thoughts. Another one to add to the must-watch BL series of 2020! I have been trying to find the theme song videos but to no avail so far, only video-cuts of the opening and closing theme songs from the opening and closing credits, and a short TikTok video. But as soon as they decide to put out official music videos of both songs, I will add them here.
Update December 10, 2020: OMG! Fantastic news… There will be a luxury 3-episode epilogues spin-off from December 24, 2020… Scroll to the bottom of the page for the teaser video.

This is the new Mandarin theme song to 2018 French film, Just a Breath Away (Dans la Brume), which is just about to to be released in China on October 23, 2020. SBS World Movies here in Australia screened the film last year and I did enjoy watching it. So I was quite surprised when this song popped up last night, a mandarin theme song for a French film! I quite like the song on first hearing, but only audio version is available at the moment…

Skyline กีดกัน 如何 (“I Told Sunset About You” TV Theme Song) – Billkin
This is another new Thai BL series called I Told Sunset About You แปลรักฉันด้วยใจเธอ (also called BKPP: The Series 一心一譯／以你的心詮釋我的愛／心訴吾愛) which will premiere on October 22, 2020. I just saw the trailer, and it looks good! I love the song and in the trailer, there is a Chinese version being sung, so hopefully they will release the Chinese version too!

Apart from Thai BL dramas, I am also currently watching the “NOT BL” comedy series, I’m Tee, Me Too, starring 3 BL couples from SOTUS, Dark Blue Kiss, and Theory of Love. Off and Gun both starred in Theory of Love (2019), and also currently in I’m Tee, Me Too (2020). This is their new single, Too Cute to Handle, which has just been released. Thai’s TV series producers certainly know how to promote their CP stars, haha…

Animal Whisper (TV Theme Songs) 電視劇《黑喵知情》主題曲片尾曲插曲
This is a new 14-episode Taiwanese TV series which started airing on August 2, 2020. The English name is Animal Whisper which does not sound quite right, LOL… I think it should be Animal Whisperer as the series is about communicating with pet animals.

Random Ramblings on BL Dramas (Part 4) – Teasers & Trailers
There are more Thai BL dramas being released for the last quarter of the year. So I’ll update trailers here for shows premiering in the coming weeks as well as those for 2021 (see Part 5 for more updates of 2021’s series). In the last few months, the Philippines is another country putting out quite a few BL series in a short period of time, I’ve also added trailers for 3 of the Filipino BL series that are currently airing right now at the end of this post, plus another Japanese BL that has just started airing… I will also update BL series from other countries as well.
