Firdhaus is a young Malaysian singer of Ethnic Malay heritage who speaks perfect Mandarin. This song went viral in China last month with over 170 million hits on TikTok, and many other online Chinese singers covered the song soon after! I did notice the song last month before listening to it and somehow at first thought the singer is a westerner due to his name and the title of the song about Alaska, LOL… It was after I searched for the music video that I realized how far off I was, and shocked to find out he is from the state of Johor, just north of Singapore… No official MV for the song as yet, but I did find a live performance clip and also an interview video in Chinese from Malaysia…
