Firdhaus is a young Malaysian singer of Ethnic Malay heritage who speaks perfect Mandarin. This song went viral in China last month with over 170 million hits on TikTok, and many other online Chinese singers covered the song soon after! I did notice the song last month before listening to it and somehow at first thought the singer is a westerner due to his name and the title of the song about Alaska, LOL… It was after I searched for the music video that I realized how far off I was, and shocked to find out he is from the state of Johor, just north of Singapore… No official MV for the song as yet, but I did find a live performance clip and also an interview video in Chinese from Malaysia…

This is a new singing variety show which began airing on December 5, 2020. I am still a bit confused with the concept of the show, LOL… Apparently it is to form a boy group, but all the contestants are either well-known artists from past years or new lesser-known artists from the past few years! I watched a bit of the first episode at the time, but lost interest after about 15 minutes because nothing happened, so I did not pay any attention to it, that is until last night… While browsing through some music videos, I caught a song from episode 6 of this show which aired a few days ago, and I enjoyed listening to it. 1000 Stars นิทานพันดาว (Thai TV Series OST Songs)
After more than a year, the airdate for the Thai BL series, 1000 Stars (a.k.a. A Tale of Thousand Stars 千星記／千星傳說), has finally been announced. It will premiere on January 29, 2021. The song, Longer than Ever, was used as the BGM song for the mock trailer in 2019, so now I’m not sure if it is still the main theme song for the TV series because in the official new trailer just released yesterday, the BGM is a different song. If or until the new official theme song is released, here’s the MV for Longer than Ever which I really like and has been listening to it since last year…
