This is another Chinese bromance TV series that is currently airing which premiered on March 3, 2021. However this TV series is from an original screeplay, and story set in the 1930-40s, with the two protagonists being a policeman and a doctor… Now why do I get the déjà vu feeling, oh, of course, another current series called You are My Hero, which also features a police and a doctor, LOL…

Even though the series has just ended its 36-episode run yesterday for the VIP audiences, and currently available up to Episode 24 on YouTube as of today, it has not gotten a ratings on Douban which is very curious. From comments of viewers who have watched the final episode, the forced ending was not satisfactory, so I’m not sure if I want to put it on my to-watch list for now even though some fans have been shipping the two male leads, LOL… Also just a note, one of the leads Mao Zijun 茅子俊 turned down the lead role in Word of Honor due to conflict of filming schedule, but he has another series coming up, The Story of the Bat 夜燕白, which is also a BL novel adaptation TV series. OK, enough said, the theme songs of Killer and Healer are quite enjoyable to listen to, so here they are…

I loved the series. i did not love the last 10 minutes of episode 37. it was the only part of the show that was unfortunate. I enjoyed all the relationships throughout the series and I found myself drawn into the story and the outcomes of each “strategy”. I was very vested in the characters and have an appreciation for Mao ZiJun and Yi BoChen. i think the director did a wonderful job. I would re-write the last 15 mins, 10 mins of the show. which is saying a lot since I have re-watched the first 36 1/2 episodes 2x.
