The Love’s Outlet (Taiwanese TV Series OST) 網絡劇《愛的奧特萊斯》主題曲
The Love’s Outlet 愛的奧特萊斯 is an upcoming BL TV series from Taiwan. It will premiere on May 20, 2021 (Update May 22, 2021: premiere date postponed to a later date) with 50 episodes of 3 minutes each. However looking at the schedule, there will be 6 episodes on May 20, so 18 minutes to start with, then followed by 2 episodes per weekday. It is categorised as a BL series, but after watching the trailers, I can’t tell if it is a full BL series, or just part BL series, LOL… However the main theme song has already been released and it is sung by well-known Taiwanese singer-songwriter, Tank, so here it is…
Update June 3, 2021: The new premiere date is June 17, 2021.

Papa & Daddy (Taiwanese TV Series OST) 網絡劇《酷蓋爸爸》主題曲
This is a new 6-episode LGBTQ+ TV series from Taiwan that premiered on April 23, 2021. It is the second of 10-film GagaOOLala TV series called Queer Up The Volume. The first being the Thai series, Call It What You Want จะรักก็รักเหอะ. Below is the lyrics version of the theme song.

A new weeknight cooking show is coming to SBS Food. The new show is called The Cook Up and will be hosted by Adam Liaw, winner on season 2 of MasterChef Australia. It starts on Monday, April 19, 2021, at 7pm and will continue every weeknight for 40 weeks, that is a total of 200 episodes!

Bump It Again If You Have The Guts (Audio Drama Songs) 廣播劇《有種你再撞一下》主題曲
I’ve just started reading this BL novel yesterday, and I’m already hooked and can’t put it down! I know it has a weird name (my own direct title translation into English as I can’t seem to find any English translated novel for this one) but it makes sense after you’ve read the first few chapters… The novel is written by Wuzhe 巫哲, who also wrote the excellent Saye 撒野. This story is quite light-hearted and humorous with a bit of mysterious (maybe quite sad) background for the MC and a happy-go-lucky ML, just what I needed after just finishing the epic The Return of Cambrian Period 寒武再臨 over the weekend… The ML likes to sing, especially when showering, so even as I’m just about 20-something chapters in, he has already sang quite a few songs, and it was quite fun trying to figure out what songs he was singing as we only got bits and pieces of the lyrics, LOL…

The Husky and His White Cat Shizun (Audio Drama & Fanfic Songs) 《二哈和他的白貓師尊》廣播劇／同人曲
One of the most anticipated TV series for a lot of Chinese BL fans in 2021 is an upcoming series called Immortality 皓衣行. The TV series is based on the webnovel The Husky and His White Cat Shizun 二哈和他的白貓師尊 written by 肉包不吃肉 (Meat Bun Doesn’t Eat Meat). However the premiere date of the TV series has encountered some problems, as it was supposed to be one of the first TV series to air at the beginning of this year, then it was supposed to air at the beginning of April, then maybe mid April… Now there are rumours it may not air in April at all, so now it is just a guessing game and we will not know when it will premiere until it actually hits the TV screens!

Fish Upon the Sky ปลาบนฟ้า (Thai TV Series OST)
Fish Upon the Sky is another university themed BL series from Thailand that will premiere tonight, April 9, 2021. It is based on a novel written by JittiRain, who also wrote the novels that two other TV series were based on, 2gether and Theory of Love. I must be one of the very few who found it hard to finish watching 2gether, even though I did watch until the end but for the life of me, I cannot remember how that series ended now, LOL… I still haven’t watch Theory of Love, so I’m in two minds if I wanted to start watching this series at the moment, decision, decision, decision… GMM TV has already released the theme song, so I will leave the song here for now, maybe I will watch it once I finished with Word of Honor and also finished reading the epic BL novel, The Return of Cambrian Period 寒武再臨, which has taken me over two months now to read…

Random Ramblings on BL Novels – BL Novels by Priest
The Chinese “bromance” TV series, Word of Honor 山河令, which is currently being broadcast to the world on YouTube, is based on the BL novel, 天涯客 (Tianya Ke or Faraway Wanderers), written by an online novelist by the name of Priest. The TV series has been very well received, even getting a 8.6/10 ratings at Douban, and of course most of the BL fans would remember another TV series from 2018, Guardian 鎮魂 which was also based on a BL novel written by the same novelist. Therefore I thought maybe there are many viewers out there who would be interested in knowing some of the other BL novels written by this author.
