Hmm, this is a conundrum, not sure how to translate the name of this Thai drama… Anyway, the drama is เรือนร่มงิ้ว and basically everyone online just called it Reuan Rom Ngiw in English, which doesn’t make any sense for us international viewers. In Chinese the title has been translated as either 孽宅, meaning Evil House, or 同舟共基, meaning Gay Together in the Same Boat, LOL… Who thought up this translation! After some searches, I think the drama is based on a novel written by ภาคินัย, and the novel has an English name, Always, so I am using this as the English title of this drama here. If I got it totally wrong, please let me know!
Update July 3, 2021: Came across this news article in English which gave the English title for Reuan Rom Ngiw as House of the Dark Shadows, so I will add this name to the title.
This is not a BL drama, even though the male lead is gay, just so you know. It is more a Thai-style primetime soap opera called lakorn, and so expect scandals, betrayals, jealousy, tragedies, intrigues, and all. In a sentence, it has been described as the story of a rich man, his two wives (1920s in Thailand when polygamy is legal) & his two gay lovers, how can you beat that as a drama, LOL… It is a 27-episode drama that premiered on April 29, 2021, and just finished airing recently, although the official YouTube episodes are slower in uploading, just about over halfway through… But no English subtitles or any subtitles at all! I have to find alternate way of watching it with Chinese subtitles, and have just watched the first 10 minutes of episode 1, and it is a horror opening with a female ghost! It is quite engaging and I wanted to continue watching but the video was very choppy and I gave up after about 15 minutes, now trying to find other avenues… In the meantime I found the OST and here are two songs from the drama…

Update July 3, 2021: I have just watched episode 3 and the show is very ADDICTING to watch but leave your brain at the door for this drama, it has been a long time since I’ve watched anything so over the top soap-operatic and over-dramatic in telling the story, LOL… Maybe I’ve been brainwashed by too many under-dramatic BL dramas in the past year! Also just found out that MD Nutthapong (Dr. Thara from My Engineer), Inntouch Naphat (Boss from My Engineer) and Yoon Phusanu (from YYY, Close Friend & Y-Destiny) are guest starring maybe as the younger selves of the three male roles in later episodes!
Update July 18, 2021: Just got to episode 20, the comeuppance started at episode 16, so satisfying to watch, and so funny, LOL, especially what happened to Luang! Felt so sorry for the 3 innocent babies growing up in that twisted household…
Update July 20, 2021: Finished watching, very satisfactory ending! By all means, the drama is not perfect. There are places that the drama drags along unnecessarily, I watched it at 2x speed sometimes and it felt normal, LOL… Also the flash-backs happened too often, sometimes things that just happened a few seconds ago, there’s already a flash-back, I’m not a goldfish forgetting things in 3 seconds! Also things like who’s the real killer, is too obvious, especially when they didn’t show the killer’s face! We can sort of limit it down to one or two persons who could have done it. That aside, the overall story is interesting enough to make you continuing watching until the end. I also like that the last scenes fast-forwarded to 2021! Maybe there is going to be a sequel, when the 100-year-old ghost is still jealous and angry, LOL…
