The Oath of Love 餘生，請多指教 is a new TV series that will premiere on September 8, 2021. (Update September 6, 2021: Premiere date has been postponed!) The TV series was filmed in 2019 and wrapped in early November that year, so it has taken more than one and a half year for it to be released. The lead actor, Sean Xiao 肖戰, who rose to fame because of the 2019 TV series, The Untamed 陳情令, was boycotted unjustifiably for most of 2020 due to the toxic fan culture in China with the 227 incident, which may have impacted the long delay in releasing The Oath of Love… The lead actress, Andy Yang 楊紫, also has some setback this year. Her other very much anticipated new series, The Golden Hairpin 青簪行, that was supposed to air recently was permanently shelved (supposedly?) after the lead actor of that series, Kris Wu 吳亦凡, was arrested, which means all her hard work on that series has gone down the drain… So hopefully The Oath of Love can bring some good news for the two main leads!
This TV series is adapted from the novel originally called A Report Written for the Doctor 寫給醫生的報告, but also later renamed as Entrust the Rest of My Life to You 餘生，請多指教 by Bólín Shíjiàng 柏林石匠. The main theme song and two other songs are all sung by the lead actor, Sean Xiao 肖戰, and lead actress, Andy Yang 楊紫.

Update April 8, 2022: OK, just found out this series finally went on air on March 15, 2022 as I have not been keeping up to date with any mainland Chinese dramas ever since realizing that there are no chance that any of the dramas that have been adapted from the BL novels will ever see the light of day in the foreseeable future… Anyway the three official MVs of the songs from the OST have been released…
