Paint with Love ใส่รักป้ายสี (Thai Series OST)

Paint with Love ใส่รักป้ายสี (Thai title translated literally as Put Label on Love) is a new 8-episode Thai BL series that premiered on November 26, 2021. This is the second series on air at the moment with Singto Prachaya (SOTUS, SOTUS S, He’s Coming to Me) as one of the main leads, his other series being broadcast currently is Baker Boys. I’ve watched the first episode and I really enjoyed it. Also happy to see another familiar face, Maengmum Tanshi Bumrungkit (Yiwha from Together with Me) appearing in this series!

Below are 2 versions of the trailer…

The theme song is still nowhere to be found at the moment, I’ll update if and when it is released. However I did find a live performance of the song sung by Singto and Tae…

Update January 3, 2022: Still no sign of the official theme song, but found another live performance of the theme song…

Update January 19, 2022: Finally found time to continue watching this series. I left it last time after one episode because I was caught off guard by the 2 quite additive Japanese BL series at the end of last year and also I wanted to wait until more episodes are available to watch in one go. What a hidden treasure this series turns out to be! Even though everyone is gushing over Bad Buddy which is airing concurrently but personally I don’t think Bad Buddy is that good mainly because the story itself is just too boring and most of the characters are very one-dimensional. The parents are just too childish to have any redeeming qualities. The fighting between the 2 faculties is just too repetitive. I basically watched most of the episodes at 2× speed. Now that I started to watch Paint with Love in earnest, even though I’m only 3 episodes in at the moment, I can see it as becoming one of my all time favourites, as long as it doesn’t have a weak ending like 1000 Stars… Yes, I’m still fuming over the rubbish ending of that series! OK it’s time I let that go, LOL…

Update February 13, 2022: OK, watched the final episode which is Episode 12. Overall I thought it is better than all the other Thai BL series I’ve watched in the past year. I would have given it a high score based on the first few episodes, but it fell a bit flat in the middle trying to set up the dramatic storyline with the secondary CP, so I will give it an above average score overall because it did lift towards the end. The story arc with the managers fighting in the car park was disturbing and I felt it was unnecessary especially as they filmed it to be a funny scene like slapstick humour but it felt wrong in this series as it is not a slapstick series. I think they could have done it more cleverly in other ways without the punching, with the secondary CP looking on, to prove how ruthless the manager was. However for the main CP, I really like the Phap character of carefree, happy-go-lucky with a soft heart hippie set-up which is something we haven’t seen in BL series until now. That alone make the whole series quite fresh and interesting…
