BL Metamorphosis メタモルフォーゼの縁側 (Metamorufōze no Engawa or translated literally as The Edge of Metamorphosis) is the live-action film adaptation of the award-winning same name manga series by Tsurutani Kaori 鶴谷香央理 that premiered in Japan on June 17, 2022. It is a story about the odd friendship that formed between a 75-year-old widow and a shy 17-year-old high school student through their love of reading BL manga. Interestingly a 4-episode BL series also premiered on the same day on Hulu Japan called I Just Want to See You 君のことだけ見ていたい (Kimi no Koto Dake Mite Itai) which is based on the manga story within the BL Metamorphosis live-action film! There doesn’t seem to be an OST for the series I Just Want to See You 君のことだけ見ていたい, so I am just mentioning it here as I won’t be doing an individual post for it.
The theme song for the movie is a song originally released in 2013 called これさえあれば (If You Have This) by Tjiros T字路s, and it is also covered by the 2 leading actresses for the film, Mana Ashida 芦田愛菜 and Nobuko Miyamoto 宮本信子.
