Earlier this year in March, two new Chinese BL dramas with ABO theme were announced on the same day virtually on YouTube with their pilots respectively. What about Chinese censorship, you ask? Nah, as long as they don’t intend to broadcast these BL dramas within China, there’s no need to go through Chinese censorship!
The first drama series is Desire 垂涎 which I have mentioned briefly in a previous post. The drama was to be based on a webnovel of the same name which was being written shortly after the announcement of the drama. The webnovel has been completed recently but there is no further news about the drama at the moment.
The other series is Couple or Not 十月拉鋸戰 which is adapted from the manhua of the same name. This series has moved ahead faster already by releasing trailer and teasers in the past week or so. It has no official release date or detail about the number of episodes yet, but the opening sequence of the series has just been released with the opening song sung by a singer named Jasper (?) with no detail about the singer or the title of the song. It is also interesting to see the opening sequence credits are all written in English which obviously is trying to attract the international viewers…
