Bake Me Please พิชิตใจ นายสายหวาน is a 6-episode Thai BL series that premiered on November 19, 2023. I must admit I haven’t watched many Thai BL series recently but I picked up this series because it has cakes and pastries in the plotlines, LOL…
I Can Only Love You ได้แค่รักเธอ – Ohm Thitiwat โอห์ม ฐิติวัฒน์
Update December 3, 2023: OK, struggled through the first episode which wasn’t surprising, as with many recent Thai BL series in the past year which I dropped after just one or two episodes. The last Thai series I finished was To Sir, With Love. I am currently watching the second season of Japanese BL What Did You Eat Yesterday? which is as good as the first season and with every episode time went by so quickly because the plots are interesting and engaging, before I knew it the episode has ended. However with many Thai BL recently, I found myself fast-forwarding or watched at 2× speed every episode which isn’t a good sign… Also I have hope with so many Thai BL being made, the acting would improve but nope, still embarrassing to watch. However the actors cannot be blamed all the times, it is also the embarrassing dialogues of the scripts or the directing which made some scenes very weird and forced, not natural. Maybe because I am also currently watching and enjoying British Series All Creatures Great and Small season 3 and NZ series Under the Vines season 2 at the moment, and can’t help but to compare. If you love dogs, you must watch All Creatures Great and Small, there are about 5 gorgeous dogs in the series with recurring appearances – Jess (Golden Retriever), Tricki Woo (Pekingese), Scruff (Cocker Spaniel), Clancy (German Shepherd), and Rock (breed?)… Also there’s a gay side couple in Under the Vines and even with not many scenes in each episode, their story is so much more convincing to watch… Anyway enough complaining, with only 6 episodes, I will just fast-forward through the remaining upcoming episodes and see what other cakes they made… Oh, that reminded me, I was curious about the cake shop in the series, did they make one cake at a time in the shop instead of in bulk? Just that they use such small bowls to beat or combine ingredients just as you would be making cake at home, LOL… It is the little details that are important! Anyway…. I think I may try the following recipes…
