My last post on the 188 series of Chinese BL novels is getting too long, so I’m starting this new post as continuation… Just to recap the BL novels in the 188 series:

Good news! The author of the 188 series, Shui Qian Cheng 水千丞, has just announced that she plans to write the twelfth novel in the 188 series next year in 2025! Can’t wait… Time flies, it has been nearly two years since the eleventh novel Alpha Predator 頂級掠食者 was finished. At the end of that novel she mentioned that she felt very tired and the creative juices of writing was spent, and that novel was not her best work and the process of writing that novel was not smooth with plenty of writer’s blocks along the way!
This year marks her 15th anniversary as a writer and she felt that after 2 years of “resting” (although she still managed to write 2 short novels in these two years), she has found her mojo again with plenty of new ideas for stories. In fact she has started a new full-length novel Live in LIVE 全球實況 just last week. This is going to be another epic adventure typed story in the same vein as The Return of Cambrian Period 寒武再臨 but she has tagged it as No CP, so no romantic plotline. I love The Return of Cambrian Period so I really want to start to read this new serialized novel but she will only release about 4 chapters per week, and I also really don’t want to wait for each new chapter day after day, WHAT TO DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Aaaaaagh… Luckily I’m reading the newest volume of the translated Japanese novel The Apothecary Diaries and also alternatively rereading the 3 volumes in the Dragon Pattern Roll Set 龍圖案卷集 (or more meaningful translation is Cold Cases of Dragon Diagram Hall) series at the moment so that will keep me busy for a while, LOL…
That’s it for the moment and I will update when there are more news of the 188…
