Century of Love ปาฏิหาริย์รักร้อยปี is a 10-episode Thai lakorn series which premiered on July 10, 2024. This is another lakorn series with LGBTQ+ theme (well, BL if you insists, haha…) from Thailand’s Channel One31 following the very successful To Sir, With Love from 2022 and last year’s series Laws of Attraction. I have watched the first episode at normal speed and it didn’t disappoint, at least I didn’t have the urge to watch it at 2× speed like I do for many Thai BL series in the last couple of years and then drop it after just one or two episodes, LOL… Another thing I judged Thai BL series nowadays is whether the theme song is sung by a recording artist or not, if it is I usually have more confidence about the drama having interesting plotlines. On the other hand, if it is sung by the two male leads, then most of the time the drama is trying to attract audiences who just want to ship the two leading actors and not too worry about the plotlines!

Update July 26, 2024: Isn’t this interesting? Great grandpa is singing a ชีไต้หนี่ (translated as Taiwanese – that’s what it said on the video title in Thai, which I assume means Mandarin) version of the theme song, LOL…

Update July 27, 2024: Caught up to ep 6… Thoroughly enjoying the series so far but there are plot holes galore. How did great grandpa manage to have descendants when he can’t “get it up” after eating half of that five coloured stone? Did I miss something there? The only explanation is that San must have adopted a son or daughter, or that is the magic of lakorn world, LOL… Also Wee seemed to be a bit dense after he met little San the second time and did not suspect a thing when little San was wearing oversized clothing… Then when the naked San and Wee fell into the bathtub, and the (great)(great) grandchildren came upstairs and the grandson muttered grandpa, still Wee did not suspect a thing! OK, granted Wee did not hear that in the chaos but then little San never appeared again, isn’t that suspicious even upto the “wedding”, little San was nowhere to be seen although he was supposed to be San’s “younger brother”, too funny…
