4Minutes สี่นาที is an 8-episode Thai BL series which premiered on July 26, 2024. What is it with Thai BL nowadays? The trend is to release two versions of the drama, one cut and one uncut, which basically is a soft porn version to attract eyeballs! It is like announcing we don’t have enough good plotlines for the drama, let’s put in saucy scenes to make up for it, LOL… Here we now have a cut version airing on TV on One31 for 4Minutes and a sultrier version streaming only on Viu in Thailand.

Update August 4, 2024: OK, have mixed feelings after watching the first episode. Love the plots so far, very intriguing at what causes the seeing of 4 minutes into the future but I have to roll my eyes at the hospital scenes with the woman who tried to commit suicide, it was so badly done, who wrote the script for that, a teenager? On second thoughts, apologies to all the teenage writers, they would have written a more believable scenes than that, LOL… You have a woman who is badly injured, so how did the hospital handled the emergency? Bandaged her outer wounds first and just left her lying there not knowing if she had any internal injuries, what the hell? Then you got two doctors casually go to examine her, did a lot of talking about why she needed emergency treatment, I nearly fell off my chair laughing at the absurdity! Anymore talking and you would have fulfilled her wishes of dying in front of you! Do the doctors understand what emergency means? In any other dramas, any emergency would means the victim would be wheeled into the operating theatre as soon as they arrived at the hospital and treatment started on any internal injuries immediately! Anyway let’s see if future plotlines are handled more believably instead of more nonsense like that! This usually makes me drop a show if some scenes are so stupid in terms of execution. I don’t ask for accurate realistic scenes when they involve technical aspect like medical terms and treatments, after all I watch dramas for entertainment, but they have to be believable, that’s all I ask!
