Addicted Heroin รักร้าย นายเสพติด 上癮 is a 10-episode Thai BL series which premiered on August 13, 2024. It is adapted from the Chinese BL novel Are You Addicted? 你丫上癮了 by Chai Jidan 柴雞蛋. This is the third drama adaptation following two previous Chinese adaptations where the first adaptation in 2016 was banned before it finished airing the first season while the second Chinese adaptation in 2023 was made for international audiences only, again just the first season with no news of a second season so far. Therefore both the Chinese drama adaptations only ended with cliff hangers without reaching the end of the novel. Hopefully this new Thai adaptation will be able to give us the full version from the novel!
The first song from the OST is a pleasant surprise, it’s a Chinese song! Even more so it is sung by a Chinese singer! So no Thai accent and weird pronunciation like so many other Chinese songs released by Thai singers for other Thai BL dramas previously, LOL… So far the only up-to-the-standard Thai singer is Daou Pittaya’s rendition of the Chinese song for the Century of Love OST!
