In 2020, I posted episodes of the Taiwanese food travel series, 美食大三通, featuring Malaysia’s street food which originally aired in 2011. However the show did visit Singapore earlier than that in 2007 and 4 episodes were aired in January and March of 2008 on Taiwanese television.
Remember this was during the very early years of YouTube and TV shows were not available on the platform at those times for international audiences. And there was no such thing as streaming of TV shows… Just a couple of years ago in 2023, 美食大三通 finally uploaded these four old episodes featuring Singapore’s street food. I will archive these episodes here for ease of access… Starting with episode 1 which originally aired on January 1, 2008 in Taiwan…
