The World Between Us 我們與惡的距離 is an acclaimed 10-episode Taiwanese crime drama series which premiered on March 24, 2019. It follows the aftermath of a mass shooting where the fates of all parties involved – the killer, the victims, the victims’ families, the media and the defense teams are intertwined.
This year the highly anticipated sequel has finally arrived. The World Between Us: After the Flames 我們與惡的距離Ⅱ premiered on June 7, 2025 with another 10 episodes telling a new story two decades after the original series. The new season begins with an arson at a supermarket, unraveling a complex web of connections among six families whose lives have been intertwined for over two decades. As they grapple with revenge, betrayal, suffering, and redemption, the profound impact of the tragedy emerges.
