Delicious Divorce Notification おいしい離婚届けます is a 12-episode (?) Japanese legal/detective BL series which will premiere on the early hours of October 2, 2025 in Japan. I don’t think there’s a theme song as I was not able to find any information on it, just music scores, so I am putting this under my Random Ramblings post…
Update September 30, 2025: Disregard the last sentence above about no theme song, LOL… There is a theme song, so I am changing this post into an OST post! It is MXMM (Maximum マキシマム) sung by Japanese boy band aoen.
From what I can gather, although the protagonists, a lawyer and a detective, are life-partners and also work together professionally, the drama will not focus on their personal relationship, but rather on their professional side of the stories.
Otokita Hajime (Maeda Goki), a skilled lawyer who has won large compensation awards in divorce cases, live and work with his detective partner Iseya Kai (Mizusawa Rintaro), and they take on some extremely difficult love-trouble cases!
They’ll be battling… a vile cheating husband who, despite being a nationally acclaimed presenter and famous for having a loving marriage, secretly makes advances on younger female announcers; a wayward woman who, despite sharing the dream of same-sex marriage for many years, betrayed her same-sex lover and, for some reason, chose to marry someone of the opposite sex; and a wife who wants to break up and a husband who just don’t. Finally, they receive a divorce request from the dead…
Then, one day, a mysterious girl, Anna (Masuda Risa), shows up!
What is marriage, couples, family, true love… What is the “delicious divorce” that these two will lead to?
“Are you with the person you truly love?”
This human legal drama asks these questions about two people who cannot be bound by law.
