Our Home ぼくたちん家 (Bokutachinchi) is a 10-episode Japanese comedy BL series which will start airing from October 12, 2025 in Japan. A special preview screening of the first episode will be held on October 9, 2025 in Tokyo with a meet-and-greet event with the stars. By the way there is no official English title for the new series, Our Home is a direct translation of the Japanese title.
Update October 10, 2025: Netflix has picked up this series for international viewers and will start streaming from October 19, 2025. The official English title is Chosen Home.
Fifty-year-old Hatano Genichi is a kind-hearted, but also a bit clumsy, yet overly compassionate gay man who falls in love with 38-year-old junior high school teacher Sakuta Saku. But Saku is a cold homosexual, seemingly indifferent to both life and love and declares that he doesn’t need love. But Genichi refuses to give up. “So… how about we buy a house together in both of our names? Then breaking up would be a hassle. Let this house be the bond that binds us together!” Genichi is clearly confessing his love, yet for some reason he’s asking about buying a house – he is serious, almost silly but he means it. Then, a 15-year-old girl, Kusunoki Hotaru, appears with a large sum of money in hand and loudly declares, “I’ll hire you for thirty million yen to play my parents for six months until I graduate from junior high school.”
Love and life don’t always go according to plan. Even so, people are still connected. Three people who meet on the margins of society share a unique life story. A quirky family love comedy that will make you laugh, cry, and laugh again!
