Ever since that day…
Sota, a researcher at a chemical manufacturer, is suddenly ordered to work in Bangkok. On his first day there, he happens to meet Kai, his first love from his university days, who suddenly disappeared. The sad melody Kai played back then still echoes in the depths of Sota’s heart. Kai, who works as a photographer and continues to pursue music as a hobby, is shaken by the unexpected reunion. As they spend time together in Bangkok, where the hustle and bustle intersects with silence, the six-year gap between them gradually fills.
However, Sota, who is cautious in everything he does, is overcome with the pain of his unrequited love for Kai, and tells himself, “This love will never come true.” He tries to treat Kai the same as before, but Kai, who has become independent and strong in a foreign country, seems to have drawn an unexpected distance between them. And the somewhat melancholic expression he occasionally shows makes Sota feel increasingly uneasy. Meanwhile, Sota hears rumors that Kai has finally completed that song he has been working on since his school days, a song he “wants the person he loves to hear first,” and will be performing it live for the first time, and an overwhelming feeling of unease wells up in his heart. Though they care about each other, the two of them keep missing each other. Their unrequited love will eventually…
