Whispers of Fate 水龍吟 is a 40-episode Chinese fantasy wuxia drama series which premiered on October 24, 2025. It is adapted from the novel Brow of a Thousand Calamities (also translated as Enduring a Thousand Tribulations) 千劫眉 by Teng Ping 藤萍.
When an influential and fearsome clan is massacred in mysterious circumstances, the clan’s talented disciple Tang LiCi (Luo YunXi) finds himself accused of masterminding the crime. Accusers say that LiCi is a traitor who murdered his master. A decade later, suspicions about LiCi linger, but much darker forces are conspiring to unleash chaos into the realm. Torn by his duality and his apparent inability to distinguish between good and evil, LiCi finds himself drawn back into the wider world to help defeat the evil conspiracy – armed only with his wits and his martial arts skills. His path soon crosses with former acquaintances, with some swearing enmity and others allied to his cause.
