The Rival I’m Falling For is a 56-episode vertical Western BL series that dropped on December 30, 2025 on a few apps, including KalosTV and DramaBox. I haven’t watched it yet but from the synopsis, it is very similar to Fake It Till You Date It which was just released earlier this month! The protagonist names are also the same, so I am quite sure it is a remake of Fake It Till You Date It!
To salvage his reputation after a scandalous accidental kiss with scholarship student Xavier, popular quarterback Alex Watson proposes a fake dating scheme. Bound by a contract, they must convincingly perform as the campus “it” couple until the student election is over. Alex seeks to repair his image, while the financially struggling Xavier needs the money.
