Random Ramblings on BL Dramas – A Breath Away
Well, I thought it will be a drama-free weekend because my favourite weekend mystery anime, The Apothecary Diaries, is on hiatus this week right at the point, grrrrrrr, where it is reaching its season 2 climatic end with just two more episodes remaining. Then what do you know, suddenly two western BL shorts decided to premiere this week without warnings, LOL… The other one, My Rookie Secret Agent Lover, is actually a re-release after its sudden disappearance last month. This new one, A Breath Away, a.k.a. A Breath Away From My Unmet Husband, also dropped suddenly around June 19, 2025 on a couple of apps, kalosTV/DramaSnaps and also on MiniShorts.
He married a stranger. He fell for his boss.
But when they both decide to divorce their mystery spouses…

Moon and Dust 壞狗 (Chinese title means Bad Dog) is a 6-episode (about 15 minutes or less per episode) Chinese BL series which premiered on May 23, 2025 on PPeach app and YouTube. It is the same app that made Uncle Unknown 叔不知 (12×7-minute series, I didn’t make a post for it since there’s no OST) last year. I thought they were not going to release the OST for this one, but surprisingly they have released two out of three songs on the OST since a couple of weeks ago…

Random Ramblings on BL Dramas – Cover Story, Heart & Strings
OK, just a heads-up about two western vertical BL series from 2024 which I didn’t know before, but maybe some of you might be interested in. They are not really proper series in their own right but queer spin-off to vertical BG (Boy-Girl) series, one is from Australia, and the other one from England. Don’t know if it is worth my time downloading an app just for the spin-off since both spin-off series are very short, just 10 minutes and 15 minutes respectively.
