In the past year or so, micro or vertical dramas have become very popular. Although I am not a fan of this less than three minutes per episode type of dramas, I have to admit I have found the western BL genre of these vertical dramas additive to watch because they are actually fast paced in story telling, so we can be drawn into the story very quickly right from the first minute. I do find this interesting because a lot of the traditional Asian BL dramas started off very slowly especially the campus ones, or mysteriously that it took a while for the story to settle down…

Secret Relationships 비밀 사이 (Korean Webtoon & Series OST)
Secret Relationships 비밀 사이 is a 115-episode Korean BL webtoon by McQueen Studio which was serialized from April 21, 2020 on Kakao Webtoon and completed on November 28, 2022. A revised version of the webtoon with revised content for some episodes including 5 new episodes of a side story was released on October 14, 2024 and completed on November 12, 2024. This year a 12-episode live-action drama series adapted from the webtoon was released on February 27, 2025 in South Korea. You Are the Apple of My Eye 그 시절, 우리가 좋아했던 소녀 is a Korean coming-of-age film which premiered at the 29th Busan International Film Festival on October 3, 2024. It has its general theatre release in South Korea on February 21, 2025. The film is the latest remake of the 2011 hit Taiwanese film You Are the Apple of My Eye 那些年，我們一起追的女孩 following a Japanese remake (You Are the Apple of My Eye あの頃、君を追いかけた) in 2018, and a Thai remake (My Precious รักแรก โคตรลืมยาก) in 2023. All the movie adaptations were based on the semi-autobiographical novel of the same name by Taiwanese author Giddens Ko.
