To Dear Myself (TV Theme Songs) 電視劇《親愛的自己》主題片尾曲插曲
Just heard some songs from this new TV series, To Dear Myself 親愛的自己, and love the closing credits song which is also the main theme song sung by Zhu Yilong 朱一龍 who also starred in the series. Well, you would remember him from the series, Guardian 鎮魂, from 2018 if you have watched that series. There is also an interesting name involved in post-production on some of the songs, namely Ayanga 阿雲嘎, who is known more as a theactrical actor and singer. There are only audio versions of the 4 songs so far, will add full MV if they release them in the future.

This year’s Mid-Autumn Festival falls on October 1, 2020, which is tomorrow. So it is just the right time to make mooncakes at home. This is the easiest mooncakes to try at home, the classic Taiwanese mooncakes with red bean paste filling and a salted egg yolk inside, resembling the moon. Taiwanese mooncakes is different from the widely available Cantonese mooncakes which is much more difficult to make at home. Taiwanese mooncakes use the Chinese flaky pastry which I have written about before, but here you can see the actual demonstration of it.

It has been a busy couple of months for BL drama fans! There are so many BL series going on at the moment, from Thailand of course (at least 4 series airing at the moment that I know of), but also from South Korea with “Mr. Heart” and also from the Philippines with “My Day: The Series” and “Quaranthings: The Series”! This is another new BL series from Japan, The Reason Why He Fell in Love with Me 彼が僕に戀した理由(ワケ), which premiered on August 9, 2020, with only 4 episodes. This is the theme song sung by one of the lead actors.

Crescent of the New Moon 小尖尖 – Joker Xue 薛之謙 & Han Hong 韓紅
This song was released under no promotion whatsoever on Chinese Valentine’s Day, Qixi Festival, last month. So this is a Valentine’s Day song. I only found out about the song today when it appeared as a recommendation for me on YouTube, haha… I am also a big fan of Joker’s vocal which is very distinctive, I don’t know how to desribe it, but just very soothing to listen to.

Even Though I Called 불러봐도 (Korean Webdrama “Mr. Heart” OST Song) – Kim Jae Joong 김재중
Yet another new BL webdrama! This one is from South Korea, Mr. Heart (心動先生／匆匆心動), with only 8 episodes of about 10 minutes each. This is the OST song sung by Kim Jae Joong 金在中 titled Even Though I Called (即使呼喚你), also translated as Even If I Called. Only the audio version is available on YouTube at the moment. I have also linked to another unofficial video with English lyrics included and also some teaser/trailer videos of the drama below.
Update October 2, 2020: Added the official MV for the song, plus 3 other songs from the OST.
