It is adapted from the Chinese BL novel A Certain Someone 某某 (a.k.a. Someone I Met That Summer) by Mu Su Li 木蘇里. Addicted Heroin รักร้าย นายเสพติด 上癮 is a 10-episode Thai BL series which premiered on August 13, 2024. It is adapted from the Chinese BL novel Are You Addicted? 你丫上癮了 by Chai Jidan 柴雞蛋. This is the third drama adaptation following two previous Chinese adaptations where the first adaptation in 2016 was banned before it finished airing the first season while the second Chinese adaptation in 2023 was made for international audiences only, again just the first season with no news of a second season so far. Therefore both the Chinese drama adaptations only ended with cliff hangers without reaching the end of the novel. Hopefully this new Thai adaptation will be able to give us the full version from the novel!

Here we go again! Another Chinese BL series bites the dust within hours of dropping the first four episodes online. Blue Canvas of Youthful Days 路過我年少時光的藍色 is a 12-episode Chinese BL series which premiered on August 5, 2024, but was pulled very soon after just 4 episodes went to air. I am just amazed they kept repeating the same mistakes of trying to air BL series through the international branch of Chinese owned media company knowing darn well China does not tolerate BL series! At least more and more other smarter producers are circumventing China this year by producing/making “Chinese” BL series outside China for international audiences only.
