Just watched the first episode of the brand new Japanese 4-episode drama Life ~ Love on The Line (Life 線上の僕ら) based on the manga of the same name, and this is the opening theme song, Go Through, Grow Through by Ryu Matsuyama. Love the song!

Now if you are thinking Perth here meant the city of Perth, you would be totally wrong, LOL… Perth is a half Thai, half Australian actor. He is one of the ensemble cast in the 14-episode Thai drama, My Engineer, which just has its finale episode over the weekend. Today his YouTube channel popped up with this cooking video, so I watched it… What? In the drama, he virtually did not have much dialogue as his character, Ram, is a very quiet person, very loyal to his friends, but does not talk to anyone he’s not familiar with. Then in this short cooking video, he did more talking than the whole of the 14 episodes of the drama, and in two languages, Thai and English with an Aussie accent! He is even fluent in Japanese too! That totally floored me, LOL…

(more…)This song popped up as a recommendation for me on YouTube a couple of days ago, a duet sang by Malaysia’s queen of love songs, Fish Leong (梁靜茹), and Taiwanese singer/songwriter Eve Ai (艾怡良). I thought the title sounded familiar, so I played it, and yes, I have heard the song years before and really like it, so it is a remake. Then the heartfelt music video made my eyes tear up…

This song is the ending credits song from the 2016 Chinese LGBT-themed web series, Addicted (上癮). I can’t remember how I came across this song in the first place last year, but after I first heard the song, I love it due to its very hummable melody, even though I have not heard or watched the web series. So with lockdown and so much time being trapped at home, I searched the series to watch recently. Then… I realized the wildly popular web series was banned by the Chinese authorities in China after 12 of the 15-episode series were broadcast. Worst still, the two lead actors were also banned by the authorities to appear together in front of the cameras! What, this is the 21st century, and things like this still happened, unbelievable!

(more…)This is one of the songs from Taiwanese web drama, HIStory 3 – Make Our Days Count (HIStory 3 《那一天》). The song just kept reverberating in my head since I watched the series last weekend, and I finally found this music video today. The two lead actors, Wayne Song (宋偉恩) & C C Huang (黃雋智), also performed the song at Kaohsiung’s Meet The Fans session on January 12, 2020. I have also included that below.
(more…)This song is the opening credits theme song to Taiwanese BL web drama, HIStory 3 – Make Our Days Count (HIStory 3 《那一天》). The first time I heard the song late last year, I thought it was good but not really memorable. At the time I did try to search for the drama to watch online but was not able to find any results, well, only preview or promos but no full episodes, so I totally put it out of my mind.
