HIStory5: Love in the Future HIStory5：遇見未來的你 is the latest instalment of the Taiwanese HIStory BL series which will premiere on December 28, 2022 with 20 episodes. The audio version of the opening theme song from the OST has just been released and it is sung by the idol group Ozone who are all the rage at the moment with young fans… Three other songs have been used in teasers so I expect they are also in the OST…
Meow Meow Boss 我的老闆是隻貓 is a new 7-episode fantasy mini-drama from Taiwan of about 15 minutes per episode. It premiered on July 16, 2021. The screenplay was written by Taiwanese screenwriter/author, Lin Peiyu 林珮瑜, who also wrote some of the HIStory series of BL dramas but Meow Meow Boss is not BL. For fans of WBL series from earlier this year, you will also recognize two of the actors, Ray Chang 張睿家 and Richard Lee 李齊 who played a cat-spirit and a dog-spirit respectively. I just watched the trailers and they look interesting. The closing theme song has also been released and it is sung by two former contestants of Jungle Voice season 2 聲林之王2 in 2019.

(more…)Miracle 奇蹟 is a new BL novel from Taiwanese screenwriter/author, Lin Peiyu 林珮瑜, that was released in book format on April 20, 2021. For those of you who are not familiar with this author, Lin Peiyu penned the screenplays for a few of the Taiwanese HIStory BL series (HIStory: Obsessed 著魔, HIStory2: Right or Wrong 是非, HIStory2: Crossing the Line 越界, & HIStory3: Trapped 圈套) and also the recently aired WBL series (We Best Love: No. 1 For You 永遠的第一名 & We Best Love: Fighting Mr. 2nd 第二名的逆襲). On the day of the release of the book, the publisher uploaded a 5-minute teaser video to promote the book which got me confused thinking it was a teaser for a new TV series because it looked so real like a TV drama! That teaser video even has two theme songs, and one of the songs was uploaded last week, which I have included below.

(more…)This is one of the songs from Taiwanese web drama, HIStory 3 – Make Our Days Count (HIStory 3 《那一天》). The song just kept reverberating in my head since I watched the series last weekend, and I finally found this music video today. The two lead actors, Wayne Song (宋偉恩) & C C Huang (黃雋智), also performed the song at Kaohsiung’s Meet The Fans session on January 12, 2020. I have also included that below.
(more…)This song is the opening credits theme song to Taiwanese BL web drama, HIStory 3 – Make Our Days Count (HIStory 3 《那一天》). The first time I heard the song late last year, I thought it was good but not really memorable. At the time I did try to search for the drama to watch online but was not able to find any results, well, only preview or promos but no full episodes, so I totally put it out of my mind.
