See Your Love 看見愛 (Taiwanese Series OST)

See Your Love 看見愛 is a 13-episode Taiwanese BL series which premiered on October 23, 2024. This new series is made by the same team behind last year’s hit Taiwanese BL series Kiseki: Dear to Me 奇蹟 and the original script for this new series is again written by the same scriptwriter Lin Pei-Yu 林珮瑜. According to her, the motivation for writing this series is because she’s deaf in one ear but she doesn’t want sympathy from people around her due to that. So she wanted to create a series that focuses and hopefully educates the wider public about this disability.

The OST consists of 5 new songs plus another song that was released in 2022…

Random Ramblings on BL Novels – Unreciprocated Love 他們的通勤時間 by Lin Peiyu 林珮瑜

While we are still hoping her last novel Miracle would be made into a TV series, Taiwanese author and screenwriter Lin Peiyu 林珮瑜 has released a new BL novel Unreciprocated Love 他們的通勤時間 which went on sale on White Valentine’s Day, March 14, 2022. The Chinese title actually translated as Their Commute Time. It is about a secret crush in the workplace, hence I think why the official English title is Unreciprocated Love. Seeing they chose White Valentine’s Day to release the book, I hope it suggests a happy ending!

See You After Quarantine? 隔離後見個面，好嗎？, or SYAQ, is a new 10-episode BL drama from Taiwan that will premiere on September 17, 2021. It is another Taiwanese (KKTV) and Japanese (Video Market & Rakuten TV) co-production BL series and its Japanese title is 《隔離が終わったら、会いませんか？》. The screenplay was again written by Taiwanese screenwriter/author, Lin Peiyu 林珮瑜, who also penned some of the Taiwanese HIStory BL series and the recent WBL series.

Meow Meow Boss 我的老闆是隻貓 (Taiwanese Webdrama OST)

Meow Meow Boss 我的老闆是隻貓 is a new 7-episode fantasy mini-drama from Taiwan of about 15 minutes per episode. It premiered on July 16, 2021. The screenplay was written by Taiwanese screenwriter/author, Lin Peiyu 林珮瑜, who also wrote some of the HIStory series of BL dramas but Meow Meow Boss is not BL. For fans of WBL series from earlier this year, you will also recognize two of the actors, Ray Chang 張睿家 and Richard Lee 李齊 who played a cat-spirit and a dog-spirit respectively. I just watched the trailers and they look interesting. The closing theme song has also been released and it is sung by two former contestants of Jungle Voice season 2 聲林之王2 in 2019.

Random Ramblings on BL Novels – Miracle 奇蹟 by Lin Peiyu 林珮瑜

Miracle 奇蹟 is a new BL novel from Taiwanese screenwriter/author, Lin Peiyu 林珮瑜, that was released in book format on April 20, 2021. For those of you who are not familiar with this author, Lin Peiyu penned the screenplays for a few of the Taiwanese HIStory BL series (HIStory: Obsessed 著魔, HIStory2: Right or Wrong 是非, HIStory2: Crossing the Line 越界, & HIStory3: Trapped 圈套) and also the recently aired WBL series (We Best Love: No. 1 For You 永遠的第一名 & We Best Love: Fighting Mr. 2nd 第二名的逆襲). On the day of the release of the book, the publisher uploaded a 5-minute teaser video to promote the book which got me confused thinking it was a teaser for a new TV series because it looked so real like a TV drama! That teaser video even has two theme songs, and one of the songs was uploaded last week, which I have included below.

The second season of Taiwanese BL series We Best Love, named Fighting Mr. 2nd 第二名的逆襲, started airing on March 5, 2021, with the continuing story from season 1, No. 1 For You 永遠的第一名. The main theme songs are basically the same in both seasons. However the closing theme song for the second season which is also a sub-theme song in season 1, The Love Letter 唯一寫過的情書, has just been released today. For the opening theme song of season 2 (also used as the closing theme song of season 1), Hard to Let Go 分手放手, also sung by Alex Chou 周予天, please see my post for We Best Love No. 1 For You 永遠的第一名.

We, Best Love is a new series of BL dramas from Taiwan. The naming of this new series is quite similar to that of HIStory series… We stands for WeTV who created the series and is the broadcaster, while the initials of Best Love is BL which, well you guess it, LOL… The first season is called No. 1 For You 永遠的第一名 (a.k.a. Forever The First) and it started airing on January 8, 2021. This is the opening theme song sang by Kelly Cheng…
