Revenged Love 逆愛 is a 24-episode Chinese BL series that premiered on June 16, 2025, of course for international releases only outside China. It is a remake of the 8-episode Chinese series from 2015, Counter Attack: Falling in Love with a Rival 逆襲之愛上情敵. Both series are adapted from the classic BL novel Counter Attack 逆襲 by Chai Ji Dan 柴雞蛋 who is best known for her other acclaimed BL novel Are You Addicted? 你丫上瘾了 which has been adapted into a few Chinese and Thai versions of web drama in recent years.

The news about the arrest of danmei writers has been percolating since the end of last year, but it seems it is now spreading across China, very sad… Very hypocritical to target the individuals while letting the international branch of their big corporate media companies to broadcast BL dramas outside China… Well, you know what because they make money, while the helpless individuals who write those stories are being jailed…
