The Mafia’s Obsession is a 58-episode British short-form BL drama series on DramaBox which started streaming on October 30, 2024. It is adapted from the novel The Mafioso’s Obsession by jojo0609.
This is the second short-form BL series, as far as I know, on DramaBox following another English language slapstick BL series from the US earlier last year, My Secret Agent Husband, but The Mafia’s Obsession is a much more ‘serious’ action drama series. Once again don’t expect too much from the plots as it is a short-form drama of about 1 minute per episode but I did enjoy it for what it is, quite entertaining and addicting to watch, and the story move on quite quickly without too much padding. I also thought the casting is much better than those Thai mafia BL series where the actors look too tame to be believable as gangsters, here at least the actor who portrays the young mafia boss looks the part, LOL… Below are just teasers even though it stated ‘full movie’ on the title, they are NOT, the first one is about 4 minutes long and the second one about 6 minutes…
Update July 29, 2025: I was just looking through the newest western BL drama on the DramaBox page, and just realized they have a new poster for this drama. Do you like this new one better or the original one?
