Here we go again with another new western BL series… My Mafia Pilot Boyfriend is a 70-episode American vertical BL microseries that started streaming on March 6, 2025 on DramaWave app. What? mafia AGAIN… Let’s see how many variations of the BL mafia theme these vertical series can come up with, LOL…
Once again, this is another silly but hilarious BL! Not much logic to the plotlines, but I chuckled through the whole show… This is something to watch if you want something mindless to relax to, LOL… For me, one other series I am currently watching is the Japanese anime, The Apothecary Diaries Season 2, which is so, so good if you want something intelligent and thoughtful to watch, also very funny moments in between serious and dark plotlines (eg. 1, eg. 2 & eg. 3 from Season 1 classic moments). It is a series that requires you to notice every single detail because if you blink your eyes you may miss it and later when that detail comes back as a major plotline, you will get super confused! If The Apothecary Diaries is at one end of the scale in terms of plotline, these western BL series is right at the other end of the scale! In The Apothecary Diaries, a minute detail mentioned or hinted on in the early episodes, you will have to take notice of that for later references because they don’t keep on banging on about it; whereas in these western BL, they keep drumming every single things over and over so basically you don’t even have to think to follow the plot, LOL… There is nothing wrong with the mindless plots, as long as they keep the action going so you don’t get bored… I think that’s what wrong with many Thai BL nowadays (of course there are few exceptions), the story telling is too slow, and the tropey plots drag on too much, if the first couple of episodes don’t grab my interest and make me fall asleep, I basically drop the series…
Anyway, back to topic, you may recognize one of the leads here who was also in My Secret Agent Husband, Andrei Prunila plays the part of Tony Baker here in the new series, while Cayman Cardiff plays the part of Ryan Rossi. Calling Agent Wyatt, calling Agent Wyatt…

Awesome series/video…! Hope they do more. Both lead actors do a great job; Cayman and Lucas work well together. Lighthearted romance which was fun to watch. More please!!!
