Secrets Happened on the Litchi Island 荔枝樹下熱烈島 is a 7-episode Chinese BL series which premiered (internationally only) on March 3, 2025. The full series is about the length of a film, so in some press releases it is also indicated as a film… The final episode, Episode 7, was released a few days ago, but there will be more epilogue episodes to follow, apparently 13 episodes altogether, with the first epilogue episode just uploaded yesterday. The series is free to watch on YouTube. The beautiful countryside sceneries, summer mood, cycling, swimming plotlines, and the fruit (lychees) do remind me of a certain LGBTQ+ film from a few years ago set in the summery Italian countryside which has peaches featured, what is it called? Call Me … Name, LOL…
The OST has been released but not on YouTube so far. The official MV will be available on April 15, 2025 but so far no information which song it will be but I assume it is the theme song. The full soundtrack is available on two Chinese streaming platforms only (need to pay to listen to), but the theme song is not on the album instead it is available separately.

Incidentally the music composer, Roc Chen 阿鯤, who composed the music for the recent blockbuster Chinese animation film Ne Zha 2 哪吒之魔童鬧海, also contributed three songs/scores (?) for this series. Two of the songs are played in the two teasers below…
