Random Ramblings on BL Dramas – Till Bullets Do Us Part
This came out of the blue! Till Bullets Do Us Part is a 61-episode western vertical BL that apparently dropped a few days ago, most likely around October 18, or 19, 2025 on Kalos TV, MiniShorts, and iDrama. The only promotion for the series is on a few Facebook and Instagram accounts, I can’t find any teasers on the official Kalos TV’s or iDrama’s YouTube channels at all, only one from a licensed channel! Anyway, this is another mafia/secret agent story with action and comedy thrown in for good measure…

Black&White is Real 黑白原來是真的 is a Taiwanese vertical BL series which will start streaming from October 27, 2025. However there will be an advance screening event on October 26, 2025 in Taiwan. There is no information on how many episodes, teaser/trailer, synopsis or streaming platform at the moment, but the press release indicated that 2 episodes will be released each day with limited time of free-to-watch… I think this is the first time (?) that a Taiwanese BL couple from a previous Taiwanese BL series (Fight For You 對立而已) that has returned for a second BL series together…

Taming My Bullies (American Vertical Series)
What is going on? This week we are getting two new versions of Meteor Garden 流星花園 (2001), the Taiwanese series which is the first drama adaptation of the Japanese manga series, Boys Over Flowers 花より男子! One is the Japanese BL version, School Trip: Joined a Group I’m Not Close to 修学旅行で仲良くないグループに入りました, which is starting to stream today – not sure how closely the plotline will be to Boys Over Flowers, but it does feature four popular boys and one of them fell for the main protagonist. The other is the vertical version, Taming My Bullies, which is an 81-episode vertical series that dropped on October 16, 2025 on ReelShort, and this one is almost identical in the plotline. If you’ve paid attention to the poster, you can see the meteor shower in the background, and then all the flowers in front, LOL… The F4 in the Taiwanese series has become the Four Heavenly Kings in the BL series, and the Big Four in the vertical series… This vertical series is actually not bad as it has a solid storyline, apart from the ubiquitous tropes which are essential in almost every vertical series…

The series stars Meg Bush as Emma, Cameron Porras as Rowan, and Luke Dodge as August. Another thing, I have not noticed sponsorship in other vertical series before, but the sponsor’s ads placement in this series is as subtle as a brick, LOL…

Random Ramblings on BL Dramas – PlutoCharon 星軌
PlutoCharon 星軌 is a 4-episode (?) Chinese BL series which will premiere on October 19, 2025. There is very little information about the drama, except that it will be on the Thai’s MFlow YouTube Channel and it looks like a low budget series from the trailer. The airing schedule is also confusing, it shows only 4 episodes and the 4th episode will air on November 9, 2025, but curiously there is an episode preview on November 13, 2025 which I presume is a preview for Episode 5?

Love for Love’s Sake 연애 지상주의 구역 is an 8-episode Korean BL series that premiered on January 24, 2024. Yes, I know, the series is nearly 2 years old, LOL… I never made an OST post for the series because the songs were never released officially! Well, until now… One song was finally released just a couple of months ago in early August (I only came across it by chance, LOL…), which is more than one and half years after the series went to air! Talk about slow train… I think there are five songs altogether, and no signs of the other four songs yet officially. Maybe they are releasing one song every 20 months?
