OK, just a heads-up about two western vertical BL series from 2024 which I didn’t know before, but maybe some of you might be interested in. They are not really proper series in their own right but queer spin-off to vertical BG (Boy-Girl) series, one is from Australia, and the other one from England. Don’t know if it is worth my time downloading an app just for the spin-off since both spin-off series are very short, just 10 minutes and 15 minutes respectively.

Now are you confused? All these western BL verticals have so similar names, and actors who have already starred in other vertical BL dramas, that I feel dizzy just trying to remember which is which, and who is who, LOL… Here we have another new vertical western BL which started streaming on JoyReels app from around May 26, 2025. (Update May 31, 2025: Please see comments section below)
My Rookie Secret Agent Lover is a 56-episode vertical shorts starring two familiar faces, Andrei Prunila from My Secret Agent Husband / My Mafia Pilot Boyfriend, and Lucas Wilson from The Mafia’s Obsession.
Update: This is the funniest thing ever, so I wrote this post last night, less than 24 hours later they’ve removed all their promotions of this series on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook after just one day? Are they afraid someone may find out they have a new western BL series on their app, LOL… Even the free-to-watch of the first seven episodes are gone from their website, it just jumped straight to episode 8 which is locked… This is suspicious, don’t tell me it is another clickbait, as I was planning to watch it this weekend but I am now hesitant about downloading their app… If anyone is planning to watch it on their app, the promos I saw last night said to search “rookie” in the app to find the show…
