In the past year or so, more and more YouTube BL series have sprung up… They are usually short series of about 10 minutes, or less, per episode per week, and I am not talking about vertical series which at least drop all their episodes in one go! They are also mostly low budget series of less than 10 episodes per series, following the traditional Korean BL strategy of releasing just one episode of about 10 or 15 minutes per week, but of course there are exceptions. It has now become almost impossible to keep track of these new short series as they are released, so I have decided to just note two of the recent series from two new channels, and also keep a list of the other YouTube channels that have been releasing BL series from the past year or so. Love for Love’s Sake 연애 지상주의 구역 is an 8-episode Korean BL series that premiered on January 24, 2024. Yes, I know, the series is nearly 2 years old, LOL… I never made an OST post for the series because the songs were never released officially! Well, until now… One song was finally released just a couple of months ago in early August (I only came across it by chance, LOL…), which is more than one and half years after the series went to air! Talk about slow train… I think there are five songs altogether, and no signs of the other four songs yet officially. Maybe they are releasing one song every 20 months?
