The Cost of Loving is a 20-minute German short film with LGBTQ+ theme which was completed on March 30, 2025 and I believe is only available to watch through film festivals. I thought it is interesting to mention here because one of the script writers and stars of the drama is Paul Williams Donovan whom fans of vertical western BL dramas such as Desired by My Unknown Husband & Bodyguards by Day, Lovers by Night will be familiar with. Incidentally Paul has another upcoming Portuguese/French drama which is in post-production currently called A Árvore do Conhecimento (The Tree of Knowledge).

Islanders 親密之海 (Taiwanese Series OST)
Islanders 親密之海 is a 7-episode Taiwanese drama series with LGBTQ+ theme which premiered with its first two episodes during the 2025 Golden Horse Fantastic Film Festival 金馬奇幻影展 on April 13, 2025 in Taiwan. It started its proper airing domestically in Taiwan and internationally from July 18, 2025. The series is adapted from the award winning novel Islands 群島 by Lolita Hu 胡晴舫.

The Nature of Us (American Series OST)
The Nature of Us is a 6-episode limited American LGBTQ+ web series which will premiere on August 1, 2025 on YouTube. Each episode is about 10 minutes long. Originally planned for released as a short film, Josh Cox who produced, wrote and directed this new series, decided to split the story into episodes for release online. The Nature of Us is inspired by the British series Heartstopper, and can be described as a cross between that series and the film Call Me By Your Name.

Mafia Lover is a 20-episode British vertical BL series that was first released on January 31, 2025 (?). This is the fourth English language vertical BL series from DramaBox, so now we have 2 mafias, 1 secret agent and 1 CEO English BL stories from the app. Hopefully next they can expand on the type of stories in terms of occupation of the protagonists… By the way, season 2 of My Secret Agent Husband is also out now, although I haven’t watched it yet…

Desired by My Unknown Husband is a 60-episode British short-form BL drama series on DramaBox which started streaming on December 31, 2024. It follows another two English language BL series, My Secret Agent Husband, and The Mafia’s Obsession, also available on DramaBox. Love in the Big City 대도시의 사랑법 (Korean Movie & Series OST)
Love in the Big City 대도시의 사랑법 is a South Korean comedy drama film and also a drama series respectively and they focused on different aspects of the story which is adapted from the novel of the same name by Park Sang Young 박상영. The LGBTQ+ film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 5, 2024 and released in South Korea on October 1, 2024. The 8-episode BL series is scheduled to premiere on October 21, 2024 but there is a big problem at the moment for the broadcaster with protest from uneducated community groups in South Korea and all promotions for the drama series have been withdrawn due to pressure from the protesters. Therefore at the moment it is questionable if the drama series will get to air or not…
